What are the odds of finding a 928 with a number plate that would, with some imagination, refer to the Falklands War?
Or are you saying that an inflammatory registration was transferred onto the 928, in which case a letter to the BBC under the Freedom of Information act would get you your answer.

They've staged faux outrage before, in one of the southern states of the U.S. they painted on each other's cars, slogans such as NASCAR sucks and stuff about gay bum sex and whatnot.
Apparently it was an original plate but it appears obvious it was found and chosen especially for those episodes.

Sorry Leonard, I think you have me confused.
I buy movie posters from a contact in Argentina, this is my business as well as film and TV. I dont watch TopGear but I know this event was staged or at least I have been told so from people in Argentina. I have no opinion on the show either way.

Pretty much spot on, except for the one last night, where the danger did appear to be real. Particularly as the three presenters clearly weren't with the film crew convoy, and presumably had to be extricated covertly by another means.
I noticed that they didn't actually go into any detail about how the presenters got out. Clarkson didn't even take a parting swipe at the Argies.
Bit of a different tone to the close of that one..

It's all shit these days.
Buy 3 old bangers & slag off each others choice.
Get instructions to drive bangers 1000 odd miles away over all sorts of shit terrain. Not forgetting that when you stop to put in the obligatory "bump" into someone else's stationary banger.
Get another golden envelope with instructions that tell you to drive somewhere that will put you either in mortal danger or rile up the the well known feisty locals. Basically dangle the carrot of the BBC filming you all getting a kicking or dieing, when actually it is entirely staged from start to finish.
All 3 bangers lose 75% of parts and gain pointless pathetic "modifications" and all 3 miraculously make it to the end of the journey despite numerous break downs.
There's your format for each "Special".
And on that BOMBSHELL!
